About the Producer
Royal Hills vineyards are located in the Kraleft hill, on the southern slopes of Erdutski brijeg. Location Kraljevo, the hill is located entirely on the largest peninsula in Europe. The Danube meanders around vineyards from as many as three sides (north, east and south) on distance between 1 and 2 km, exerting a dominant impact on the micro climate. Frequent change of winds from the Danube reduces sudden temperature changes not normally common in continental climates. And with 2,000 hours of sunshine per year in Erdut – believe it or not – next to the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. In the vineyard, the work is done with the most modern means and methods under the supervision of Eric Moro. On the upper ones, positions that are most suitable for production of “big” wines, careful and targeted reduction the yeld is carried out. After fermentation, the wines are aged in cooled stainless steel and in 225- and 500-liter barrels from the well-known French and Slavonian oak suppliers Seguin Moreau, Nadalie, Auric, Radoux and Adour, while the sparkling wines are aged on the lees in bottles between 2 and 3 years.
