Whole almonds, slices of dried fig and small pieces of freeze-dried raspberry are pressed into the top of this long bar of dark chocolate, so every piece you break off holds something different.

Navigator Bianco is one of the topped bars from Vrsna Chocolates, the family chocolate maker of the Reizl family in Sesvete, Croatia, where tempering, shaping, decorating and packing are largely done by hand. The box carries the line's motto, From coast to taste, and figs, almonds and raspberries are among the ingredients Vrsna likes to pair with cocoa.

The almonds bring crunch, the figs a soft chew and the raspberry a fruity note against the dark chocolate. Break it into shards for a cheese board, or serve it with coffee or a glass of red dessert wine after dinner.

Vrsna Chocolates is a family chocolate maker founded by the Reizl family in Sesvete, Croatia, whose work in food began in 2002 and became Vrsna Chocolates in 2017. Many production steps, from tempering and shaping to decorating and packing, are done by hand, using cocoa selected from around the world together with Croatian ingredients such as figs, lavender, carob, honey, hazelnut, sour cherry, raspberry and orange. Vrsna's dark and milk chocolates were recognised at the Great Taste Awards in 2021 and 2022, and the range covers bars, truffles, pralines and gift boxes.
