A long, slim bar of chocolate with chopped hazelnuts scattered down its middle, so each piece snaps with a light crunch. It sits in a black box with a window, printed in gold with cocoa leaves and the Decada Artisan name.

Decada is the handmade 100 g bar line from Vrsna Chocolates, the chocolate maker of the Reizl family in Sesvete, Croatia, where tempering, shaping, decorating and packing are largely done by hand. Hazelnut is one of the Croatian ingredients the family likes to pair with cocoa.

This bar uses dark chocolate with at least 54% cocoa and 5% hazelnuts, and the flavour is rounded and nutty. Serve it in squares with espresso, a glass of Prošek or an aged brandy after dinner.

Vrsna Chocolates is a family chocolate maker founded by the Reizl family in Sesvete, Croatia, whose work in food began in 2002 and became Vrsna Chocolates in 2017. Many production steps, from tempering and shaping to decorating and packing, are done by hand, using cocoa selected from around the world together with Croatian ingredients such as figs, lavender, carob, honey, hazelnut, sour cherry, raspberry and orange. Vrsna's dark and milk chocolates were recognised at the Great Taste Awards in 2021 and 2022, and the range covers bars, truffles, pralines and gift boxes.
