Product Description
This is Solana Nin's flower of salt blended with green peppercorns, a seasoned finishing salt in a single pinch. The pepper is softer and fresher than dried black pepper, with a green, almost herbal note beside the clean taste of the sea.
The salt comes from the old Roman salt pans beside the town of Nin, on the Dalmatian coast near Zadar. The flower of salt is skimmed off the surface of the Adriatic by hand on still mornings, then dried by the sun and the bura wind. Nothing is added beyond the pepper, and the salt is certified organic.
The flakes stay soft and light and melt quickly, carrying the warmth of the pepper as they go.
Scatter it over grilled fish, roast chicken, steak, or ripe tomatoes and olive oil, adding it at the table for the final touch. The little canister also makes an easy gift for someone who likes to cook.
