Product Description
Product Description
A Malvazija made with a light hand, given a couple of days on its skins and left to ferment on its own. The result is a white with a little more grip and texture than usual, still fresh and full of scent.
Piquentum is the work of Dimitri Brečević, who grew up in the French Basque country, trained in France, and came to his father's Istria in 2004. He makes wine in an old concrete water tank near Buzet, in the green hills of inland Istria, with wild yeasts and nothing added.
It smells of quince and white flowers, with a touch of sweet spice and dried sage on the palate. The texture is gentle and the finish clean.
Serve it with roast chicken, richer fish, pasta with herbs, or a board of Istrian cheese. A bottle also makes a good gift for someone curious about natural wine.
