Product Description
Product Description
Dan po dan means "day by day" in Croatian, and this Pošip suits an unhurried evening. Pošip is a white grape native to Dalmatia, and these grapes come from a vineyard in Čara, on the island of Korčula.
Markus is a family-owned winery with its cellar in Kaštel Novi and a tasting room in Split. The 2022 vintage had a 24 hour cold maceration, fermented in stainless steel, then aged ten months in French oak on fine lees and six more months in bottle. Only 5,000 bottles were made, and Peter Moser of Falstaff scored it 93 points.
Expect ripe tropical fruit, white flowers and green almond with a saline minerality. The body is medium to full and the finish is long and elegant.
Serve it at about 12°C with white fish, risotto, pasta or brudet, the Dalmatian fish stew.
