Product Description
Product Description
A Dingač from a small family winery in Pijavičino, in the middle of the Pelješac peninsula. The grapes are Plavac Mali from the protected Dingač position, about sixty hectares of steep slope above the sea that became Croatia's first protected wine region in 1961.
The Lučić family holding has existed since 1950 and has grown slowly since. It makes a short range, Dingač, Plavac, a Rukatac white and a rosé, and welcomes visitors to the cellar in Pijavičino, which is still the easiest place to find its wines.
Expect the classic Dingač profile: dark berry fruit with the dried-fruit notes that come from sun-baked grapes, a full body and a generous warmth. With a few years in bottle the tannins have softened.
Serve at 18 degrees in a large glass, decanted, with roasts, pašticada, game or oily fish from the grill.
