Pčelarstvo Daruvar, a beekeeping company founded in 1994 in the town of Daruvar, fills this 220 g jar with acacia honey (68%) and walnuts (32%), according to the label, at its own filling plant in Daruvar.
Acacia honey is mild and light in colour, so the walnuts keep their own gently bitter flavour and their bite alongside the sweetness.
Spoon it over aged sheep's cheese or fresh ricotta, stir it into yoghurt, or serve it with pancakes. A jar also makes a small, easy gift for anyone with a sweet tooth.
