Product Description
Product Description
Tezoro is the Crvik family's Malvasija Dubrovačka, a white grape first recorded in the Republic of Dubrovnik in 1383, when its wine was reserved for diplomacy. The vines were lost in the war of the 1990s and replanted after Konavle was liberated, and every Konavle winemaker now grows it again.
The Crviks have been in Konavle since 1500 and have made wine since 1897, when great-grandfather Andro built the first cellar. Andro Crvik built the modern winery in 1993, and his son Petar, the fourth generation, runs it with him from the village of Komaji, on the forested hills between the Konavle field and the sea.
Golden yellow in the glass, it opens with white flowers and citrus, then aromatic herbs, ripe fruit and apricot. It has won a silver medal at Decanter.
Serve chilled with grilled fish, shellfish risotto or soft cheeses.
