The black stork on the label is Ciconia Nigra, the name this cuvée carries, and it is among the most awarded wines made in Baranja.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Josić family from Osijek bought the old 1935 cellar and 1.6 hectares of old vines in 1999 and restored it. The owner, Damir Josić, trained as a chef at Alma in Parma, and the estate now farms about 25 hectares on a hill the Romans called the Golden Hill, in a region better known for its whites.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon form the base, with Merlot and Syrah in support. The wine matures at least twelve months before bottling and then rests in bottle.
