The winery says it was created with hot summer days on the Adriatic coast in mind.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Ivančić family makes wine at over 400 metres on the highest, south-facing positions of Plešivica, above Jastrebarsko. The griffin on the label comes from the family coat of arms, granted in 1759, and a document from 1773 licensed the family to plant a vineyard. Winemaker Krešimir Ivančić is better known for the house's sparkling wines. Ambassador is the newest member of the still range.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are picked by hand into crates, chilled, and fermented cool in stainless steel, then rested six months on the lees with regular stirring.
