The vines were planted on Laškovec soil in 1990. on the southwestern slopes of Plešivica at 350 meters above sea level. All grapes are handharvested for maximum care.\u003cbr\u003e\nSpontaneous malolactic fermentation takes place in 225l French oak barrels on natural lees. Matured for 12 months on primary lees in barrique barrels by stirring and raising settled lees back into wine every 15 days (bâtonnage), after which it was transferred to 3000 l, 100 years old Croatian oak barrels where it has matured for another 12 months (1 year).\u003cbr\u003e\nChardonnay Sur Lie Korak is rich and full-bodied oaked style wine. Smoky scents dominated by delicate hazelnuts, pistachios without masking floral, ripe melons and fig fruit aromas as well as bready and buttery notes. The ripe apple and melon flavors are enriched by the oak ’s nutty aromas. Resting the wine on its lees adds a savory depth and a creamy texture.
