Special vineyards are chosen precisely for this variety of grapes from which we produce top-quality Sauvignon blanc. Klemenka vineyard is sustainably managed, and with the care given during the growing season produce some of Croatia’s greatest Sauvignon blanc wine. The grapes are hand-harvested and immediately pressed in the cool of the night. Short maceration on the skin surface. Sauvignon blanc is fermented at relatively low temperatures in stainless steel with the intention of preserving every bit of youthful fruit.
This wine in general designed to be drunk as young as possible, but because of its complexity will survive more than five years in a bottle and evolve beautifully. KORAK Sauvignon from Klemenka slope matures on fine lees for 10 months in stainless steel tanks and in large wooden barrels after which the batches were blended together to create this elegant wine. If you smell nettle, cut grass, or black currant in bloom, or feel the aroma of asparagus, peas, or bashing flower, be sure to hold a glass of Sauvignon in your hand.
Nose: Discrete but developed on the nose, points to fruitiness and herbs. Lively, fresh & precise.
Palate: More intense in the mouth than on the nose, soft, with quality trailing acids. Good in body and structure, solid ending. Green and herbaceous flavors.
